Wooden cross wick including metal base

Wooden cross wick made of FSC©-certified beech wood - including a round metal base for inserting the wooden cross wicks. Our wooden wicks are untreated and are produced in Europe using sustainable forestry.

Two wooden wicks are supplied, which must be inserted into each other.

Available in the following size (WxLxD in mm):
6 x 60 x 1mm e.g. for tealight size
8 x 90 x 1mm up to approx. 45 mm container diameter
10 x 130 x 1mm for 45-55 mm container diameter
12.5 x 150 x 1mm for 55-65 mm container diameter
15 x 130 x 1mm for 65-75 mm container diameter
15 x 150 x 1mm for 65-75 mm container diameter
20 x 150 x 1mm for approx. 80 - 89 mm container diameter

This can vary depending on which candle wax, wax color and fragrance oil is used.

Application
To achieve a nicer flame and a more even burning of the wooden wicks, you can soak the wooden wicks in candle wax, scented oil or cooking oil. Liquid coconut oil, olive oil or sunflower oil are suitable cooking oils. In our tests, soaking in olive oil - for at least 24 hours - produced the best results. We strongly advise against soaking the wooden wicks in lamp oil, as this can pose a very great danger to children and animals. At this point: use only at your own risk!
