Elegance through wafer-thin metal

A silver sheen is inimitably beautiful and transforms objects into magnificent, one-of-a-kind pieces. With the right basics and a little finesse, this traditional finishing technique from the world of restoration is also within the reach of creative enthusiasts. To achieve this, KREUL metal leaf is applied to decorative objects using KREUL gilding paste. The wafer-thin metal is available in gold, silver and copper. This allows for high-gloss effects on a wide range of surfaces, including wood, glass, cardboard, porcelain and much more. Simple accessories such as picture frames, wooden items or bowls are thus transformed into luxurious-looking works of art.

• Suitable for wood, glass, paper, canvas, cardboard, polystyrene, plastic, wax, ceramics, porcelain, fully cured concrete, terracotta, foil, metal and leather
• How to use: The surface to be decorated must be clean and free from dust and grease. Apply KREUL gilding paste and allow to dry until transparent (minimum 20 minutes). Place the gold leaf on the surface and press down gently with a soft, dry brush. Carefully remove any excess with a brush or cloth. Once completely dry (at least 12 hours), polish carefully with a soft polishing cloth or cotton wool.
• Allow silvered objects to dry thoroughly for several days and then apply a coat of KREUL Finishing Varnish for Leaf Metal to protect against corrosion. Use KREUL Zapon Varnish to protect decorations used outdoors and on surfaces such as concrete, plaster, terracotta and clay.
