Natural Candle Dyes

Natural candle dyes are based on plant-based raw materials such as fruits, vegetables, and even aquatic botanicals. Unlike synthetic alternatives, they deliberately focus on reduced ingredients and transparency.

Our Natural Candle Dyes consist of only three ingredients, are vegan, and produced without animal cruelty. This makes them a sustainable alternative for anyone who values environmentally friendly candles and wants to make conscious decisions about what goes into their DIY projects.

Especially in the trending area of making sustainable candles yourself, such natural solutions are playing an increasingly important role.

Instructions: Coloring candles with our natural dyes

To ensure your candles turn out perfectly, you can follow these steps:

First, choose the right wax. Natural waxes are particularly suitable, such as organic soy wax for container candles, soy wax 4130, or rapeseed wax for pillar candles. Even gel wax can be colored with Natural Candle Dyes.

Before use, you should shake the candle dye well. Since these are natural ingredients, the dye may settle slightly with prolonged storage.

Then, dispense the dye with a pipette. Important: Some dyes may be a bit thicker. In this case, you can slightly trim the pipette at the opening to make dosing easier.

Now, add the dye to the melted wax and stir thoroughly. Make sure the color is evenly distributed.

After that, you can pour the wax directly into your candle container, for example, into our Berlino candle jars with 230 ml.

Now it's time to cure and enjoy the result.

How intense are natural candle dyes?

An important point when working with natural dyes is that the color intensity can vary.

This is because plant-based dyes "work" with the respective wax rather than completely covering it. Factors such as the wax used, the dosage, and the base color of the wax can influence the result.

The result is not artificially bright colors, but calm, natural, yet expressive shades. Perfect for high-quality and aesthetic DIY candles.

Why natural candle dyes are becoming increasingly popular

The trend is clearly towards sustainable DIY candles and conscious consumption. Some of our customers want to know exactly what ingredients they are using, especially for products that are used in their own homes or even sold.

With Natural Candle Dyes, you choose an environmentally friendly alternative with transparent ingredients, based on plant-based raw materials.

As part of our philosophy at Hansawax, we specifically focus on sustainable materials that are compatible with each other and easy to process.
